How to Download and Use Resource CFG for Sims 4

As a Simmer, managing your mods can be overwhelming, especially when it comes to conflicts between packages. That's why I'm excited to introduce you to Resource CFG for Sims 4, a tool designed to streamline your modding experience.

To get started, download the latest version of Resource CFG from . Once installed, launch the tool and you'll see two folders in its directory: 'Mods' and 'Profiles'.

In the left panel, you'll find all the files within each folder. You can create new folders or move existing ones to organize your mods. For example, you might create a folder called 'Realistic Vehicle Speeds' and move three packages ('Cars', 'Taxi', 'Bicycle') into it.

To install packages, either use the installer or place all your packages into a folder and name it something useful. Move this folder into the tool's 'Mods' directory. The tool will automatically detect any conflicts between mods and packages.

The main window displays all the resource contents in each package. You can reorder their priorities by dragging them on the list, and double-clicking on a mod will show its content and conflict status. Thunderbolt icons indicate the conflict status of mods and packages, with no icon indicating no conflict.

To merge packages, simply select the desired order of priority and click 'Merge'. The tool will ignore conflicted resources and skip them to ensure the fastest merging process possible.

Resource CFG also allows you to manage profiles specifically for each mod setup. Currently, some features are still in development, such as built-in cache cleaning, managing profile saves, and more.

In addition to its primary function, Resource CFG offers several other useful features. You can open every package without needing to use S3PE, reorder mods easily, and show conflicts between all mods and packages.
